Ganga Jamuna Border Handwoven Designer Assam Mulberry Silk saree

A traditional Assam weave with a blue and red ganga jamuna border and an elaborate palla with an Assamese folk motif. The body has little mango butas in red, blue, and green shades to celebrate the diversity of Assam’s ecosystem. The use of blue in the border reflects the tranquil yet vibrant cultural heritage of Assam, while the use of red is at par with the culture of Assam, where red is considered a sacred color symbolising good fortune and festivity.
